A 10-year-old Everett boy has died in a Seattle hospital after an accident in a sandbox.

Codey Porter died from complications after being buried head first by his playmates.  He apparently struggled visibly to free himself, but his friends thought he was just playing around.

The group was mimicing something they saw on the children’s show Narutu (sic, Naruto) This is shameful and irresponsible.  How can such violence be allowed to air during a time which kids are viewing?  Clearly, this show has some sick and twisted agenda of promoting inverted asphyxiation via sandbox.  What makes this even more appaling is that it is clearly documented that erotic asphyxiation deaths amongst small children is on the rise.  While there are no immediate indications that this was such a case, one might wonder if smelling sand upside-down helps to achieve orgasm.

I urge everybody to write Cartoon Network, which airs the popular children’s show, and encourage them to take this filth off the air.  Where does it end?  Next, they’ll decide to air old episodes of Wily E. Coyote and the roadrunner, which will no doubt see a rise in falling anvil deaths in playgrounds everwhere.
