Homewrecking and cop-punching news anchor Alycia Lane fired by KYW-TV Philadelphia

Alycia Lane, the news anchor who became equally as famous for making the news as she did reporting it, was fired from CBS3 (KYW-TV) in Philadelphia today.

Lane allegedly punched a New York City cop during an altercation in mid-December involving her and her boyfriend, Philadelphia radio personality Chris Booker.   She also grabbed headlines earlier in 2007 when she sent photos of herself in a bikini to ESPN’s Rich Eisen, who just happens to be married.

Lane joined CBS3 in 2003 and anchored the news broadcast at 6PM and 11PM with Larry Mendte.  I doubt she’ll find as good a job as she had here in Philadelphia, as an anchor who punches law enforcement officers does not seem like the first person you’ll want to trust for your unbiased news reporting.

    I heard she won’t return one of her sons to the father even though her visit is over and she’s having a mental breakdown. An ambulance arrived at her house and they had to strap her down like a mental patient and she was going between laughing and hysterics.
